Counselling

  • Articulate your Experiences

This is an opportunity to be heard in a nonjudgemental, accepting space. There is something to be said for talking with someone who doesn’t know you or the people in your life; there is freedom in that. I am unbiased, having no preconceived ideas about you. There is no concern I will negatively react to what you say. Sharing brings release, clarity, lightness. You’re safe here.

  • Clarify your Self-Identity

I am a warm, compassionate person and sincerely care about your wellbeing. I don’t have a cool, clinical approach. I will support you in exploring the challenges you are facing, whatever they may be. Topics we can explore are past emotional pain, current problems, gender identity or expression, handling transitions, making decisions, managing crisis, and developing specific life skills.

  • Create your Life

By recognizing the negative impact of stress and implementing techniques to lower these stresses, you can begin to heal. We will co-create strategies to effectively deal with these problems and ultimately overcome them. I will help you access the strengths and resources within yourself to make positive changes in your life.

Fully Become Your Best Self, Grow, Thrive!

My form of counselling is psychotherapy, a talk-based collaboration between myself and an individual. It is effective in reducing symptoms within a wide range of mental health conditions and emotional challenges. Ultimately it leads to functioning better and healing through greater emotional and psychological well-being. Psychotherapy is recommended for coping with numerous conditions such as stressful situations, trauma, mental illness, depression, and anxiety.

My personal approach is a combination of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and IPT (Interpersonal Therapy).

CBT is based on making positive changes in our behaviour by changing negative patterns of thinking. With clear thoughts, a person is better able to focus on problems and solving them by learning new skills.

IPT helps us to understand underlying interpersonal issues such as conflict with others or unresolved grief. Healthy ways of expressing emotions and improving communication are learned.

Most importantly, therapy should be supportive, offering guidance and encouragement to empower a person to develop their strengths and resources so they can cope better with life’s challenges!

Please Note: My services are not emergency services or a crisis line. Go to your nearest hospital or call your doctor if you need emergency assistance!

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Make it stand out.
